David Hockley

David Hockley is President and Co-Founder of Patagonia Biotecnología S.A..  He is a British national and holds a degree in Electronic Physics B.Sc. Cum Laude from Royal Holloway College, University of London. He previously held the role of head of Canadian Dollar Fixed Income at the Royal Bank of Canada in London until year 2000, and later founded and managed Wilton Investments, dedicated to serving high net worth individuals fund management in Chile in 2001-2013.

Rebeca Gálvez

Rebeca Gálvez is the CEO and Co-Founder of Patagonia Biotecnología S.A..  She is a Guatemalan born US Citizen, B.A. Cum Laude Yale College, and has 30 years of experience building and operating companies in the natural resources field.  She held the positions of Director and General Manager of Pesquera Atitlán S.A. (fisheries) and Río Dulce S.A. (salmon industry), successfully sold both companies. She has been an Endeavor Entrepreneur since 2015 and chosen one of Chile’s 100 Women Leaders in 2018.

Marcelo Brintrup

Marcelo Brintrup is the Chief Scientific Officer of Patagonia Biotecnología S.A. and the founding partner of Inversiones Patagonia S.A, a predecessor of Patagonia Biotechnología S.A.  He is Chilean born, and holds the degree of Mechanical and Petrochemical Engineer from The Universidad Técnica del Estado in Chile. He has worked as an academic and an entrepreneur in the field of agriculture since 1980.

Alberto Abascal

Alberto Abascal is a Senior Agronomist at FERTUM USA. Alberto is Chilean born and holds an Agricultural Engineering degree from the Catholic University of Chile. Alberto previously held the role of Sourcing Manager for Marafruit, as well as Operations Manager, General Manager, and Manager of Direct Exporters for Chiquita in California and Chile.

Claudio Fernandez

Claudio Fernandez is the Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of Patagonia Biotecnología S.A.. He is a Chilean born national and holds a Business Administration Degree from the University of Concepción, Chile.  Previously Claudio held the role of Commercial Sales Director of Lago Villarrica Salmon, as Export Sales Director of Carozzi a food products manufacturer, and manager of Latin America and Asian markets for Concha y Toro, Chile’s largest winery. 

Verónica Mardones

Verónica Mardones is the Applications Development Manager at Patagonia Biotecnología S.A.. She is Chilean born, and holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Richmond, Virginia.  She previously worked in financial sector sales for Unisys Corp, and as the owner of On-Site Ltda., a provider of electronic forms solutions for the financial sector in Latin America. She has worked in marketing development for PatBio Chile since 2017.
